Jacksonville NC Family Photographer | Family Portraits | LeBlanc Family Mini-Session

It was so amazing to see this family reunited at their homecoming a few months back!  You can see photos from their homecoming session by clicking here.

I was definitely excited to work with them again to capture their family portraits.  And can you believe how much they have grown?!  We headed over to a local Jacksonville NC park for a mini-session and I cannot say enough what a blessing this family is for a photographer!  More handsome AND well-behaved young gentlemen I have rarely met.

And they have great ideas for photos!  I asked all 3 boys to stand over on the hill for a group picture, and they walked over and did this

…cracking me up!  So, we had some fun with that one…and the ever-falling little brother! 😉

I do love candids, but sometimes getting some posed shots is definitely just as great!

These boys…I know they keep everyone around guessing.  They are just too much fun! (And did I mention, handsome!?)

To an amazing couple and family, my thanks goes out for your continued sacrifices to our country.  And I cannot say enough how wonderful it is to see that your family will be together this Christmas!  May God bless all of you as you celebrate God’s wonderful gift of life. 🙂

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life…

Jacksonville, NC | Newborn Portraits | Sleeping Princess

She is growing so fast already…the little sister eagerly awaited from the maternity portraits taken earlier this summer, and who I have the privilege to meet and photograph at Onslow Memorial  Hospital meeting her brothers and big sister for the first time.  It is so exciting to share these moments with my friend.  🙂

I love capturing these newborn portraits!  It is so relaxed and fun to do a session at home where baby is so peaceful and comfortable.  Would you believe that many of the session’s photos were taken while she rested in Cheri’s arms?!

This precious little newborn baby girl gazed at me with her beautiful blue eyes…and I admit it…I’m just as in love as the rest of the family.

I love the way she holds her hand under her chin when she’s sleeping.

And, her cute little expressions.  She was so peaceful through the whole session!  (I guess I would be too…especially since there were plenty of breaks for feeding and cuddling!).

I know this is Cheri’s favorite…all her babies feet lined up!  🙂

It’s such a blessing to see how the love of Cheri & Micah is growing together with such a beautiful family.  Congratulations again, Tussey family on your beautiful little princess!

Welcome Home, Daddy!

Today, I had the privilege to photograph my first military homecoming!  I’ve had one of my own, but to be viewing from the outside was an amazing experience.  I say prayers of thanks for all of these men and women that have come back safely to their loved ones…it’s nothing to take for granted!

Looking back over these pictures makes me tear up…the L family is such a beautiful family!  His brother and sister and law (who is expecting a baby boy in a couple months) also came to welcome him home.

It was such a hot day, and torture waiting and waiting to get that call that the bus was coming! Those who have had any experience with homecomings know that it’s a game of hurry up and wait! But it was so worth every second to be there as he walked around the bus!

Watch for the house key…they bought a house while he was away, and he hasn’t even seen it yet!  All 3 boys were beyond thrilled to have their Daddy home, and as you’ll see little brother would hardly let go of Daddy.  I look at these photos and I know what a strong woman and what a journey it is to go through a deployment and what a sacrifice their Dad has made to serve our country.  I cannot say thank you enough, and how happy I am for all of you!

Welcome Home!!

My heartfelt thanks and prayers to all of those serving and their families, and especially today to the L family!  God bless America and once again welcome home!!!

Family Fun!

I LOVE working with the L family!  This was our 3rd shoot together, and every session has been more fun than the last!  And each session is my new favorite time with them! 🙂  This session was all about having fun and capturing memories and moments of the family together…just as they are!  I can’t help but smile as I look at them.  🙂

How about a game of leap frog?  There’s a whole series of kids jumping over each other.  It was so funny!

The kids also had a great time chasing each other around the grassy area.

Little brother made a valiant effort to catch them!  Wait for me!!

This a family full of love for each other!

Joy-full.  That’s what comes to mind every time I think of the L family!

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. – Psalm 5:11

Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. L for letting me capture these moments with your family!  I can’t wait for the next session!  🙂

Newest Tarheel Fan!

Grandma & Grandpa found out about little baby M by receiving a pair of tiny Tarheel baby booties…and maternity pictures were on a Carolina blue blanket! So is it really any surprise that he has the cutest little Tarheel feet? 🙂

Welcome baby M!

He is so tiny…just 5 pounds, 1 ounce.

Such a sweet little baby, he was peeping at me taking his picture.

Can you believe that beautiful head of hair!? He has more hair than Eli!

Grandpa is already spoiling him rotten with a cute little puppy dog toy. He is so loved by the whole family already. It’s so amazing to see!

Praying many blessings over this beautiful baby boy, and the precious gift of life!

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. – Numbers 6:24-26

Blessings…from head, to tiny little toes! 🙂

Congratulations again to a wonderful family! Thank you for letting me share in some special first moments, he is truly a beautiful baby boy!

Meet Little Sister!

Do you remember the post about the excited brothers and sister?  (You can read it here).  Well, that sweet baby girl has arrived!

Would you believe that mom’s guess of her weight was only an ounce off?!  That’s talent!  🙂

What a blessing to be present during those amazing first hours…and to be in the room when the siblings met for the first time!!  They brought gifts for their new baby sister.  SO incredibly sweet!

Grandma got a quick second before big & little sister met. 🙂

Watching the family hold and love on her was just breathtaking.  So.  Much.  Love.  All for one little person!

And a few moments of fun as little brother was the baby again…well, almost! 😉

And, how we all want these moments to last forever!

All I can think as I look at this beautiful family is God’s amazing gift of love.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Congratulations to this beautiful, growing family.  I love you all!  And thank you again for letting me share these first moments with you.  I’ll treasure them always.

Happy Father’s Day!

On this day, I’m thankful to my Dad for all the wonderful times we have shared! And I am thankful for my husband…who shows me every day what an amazing Dad he is to our three beautiful children.  And most of all, I’m thankful to my Heavenly Father that has blessed me with them!

Over the past months, I’ve had the privilege of photographing some other wonderful Dads with their children. Here’s a brief tribute to some of those dads…and to all the others that aren’t pictured!
